Bechtle aquires the Swiss market-leader Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Bechtle aquires the Swiss market-leader in system integration of High-end devices and IBM Computersystems. In 2001 provisional turnover figures are situated over plan, sales objective of approximately 800 million Euro in 2002. The Bechtle AG, Gaildorf, takes over the system house section of Swiss Eurodis AG. The system house segment of Eurodis is active in the high-yield sector of the up-market IT system integration. This company has a leading market position in the system integration of banks and service enterprises in Switzerland. In the previous financial year (1.6.2000 to 31.5.2001) the Eurodis section transacted 44 million Euro and obtained Earnings performance (EBIT) of 2.43 million Euro. For the remaining eleven months of the current financial year, sales of 43 million Euro are planned. In accordance to the provisional figures of 2001, Bechtle registered sales of around 639 million Euro and is situated over plan (614 million Euro). In the year 2002, Bechtle plans an increase in sales of around 160 million Euro to 800 million Euro. So far, Bechtle has been represented in the Swiss eCommerce market only, by its subsidiary company Bechtle Comsoft Direct S.A.. Through the acquisition of the system house section of Eurodis, Bechtle extends its presence in the high-yield market of solutions for application servers and memory systems.The Bechtle company also profits from a know-how transfer to the German subsidiary companies, which thus makes it easier to enter the market of this lucrative business field. The acquired system house section is transferred into the especially created Bechtle DATA AG, Switzerland. The Comsoft and the Bechtle Data AG remain existing as independent companies.
