The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Bechtle has taken over the Spanish market-leader in IT-eCommerce/ Increase in turnover sales in the first half-year by about 45 per cent to approximately 575 million Marks / Bechtle employs more than 2000 employees Gaildorf (Bechtle). In the meantime the takeover of Action Computer Supplies S.A from Madrid, the leader of Spanish IT eCommerce, is completed. Presently Action achieves an annual turnover of 65 million marks and a profit before taxation of more than one million marks. With this acquisition, Bechtle strengthens considerably its position in the IT-eCommerce-market in all important industrial countries of middle and southern Europe. According to first figures, the turnover of the first half-year of 2001 increased by about 45 per cent to about 575 million marks in comparison to the previous year. Positive is the strong organic growth which ranges in a scale of over 30 per cent. So, Bechtle AG still lies clearly ahead of plan. Precise statements concerning profit can not be made yet due to the multitude of companies which will have to be consolidated. Clearly, the positive development of the first quarter of 2001 has also continued in the second quarter. Presently Bechtle AG employs 2.060 employees in comparison to 2.004 employees on June, 30. 2001.
