Bechtle records double-digit growth in revenue and earnings

Bechtle records double-digit growth in revenue and earnings

– Revenue up over 15% to some EUR3.6bn

– EBT increased by 12% to some EUR163m

Neckarsulm, 09.02.2018 – According to preliminary figures, Bechtle is set to close the books on yet another very successful business year. The IT group shows double-digit growth rates across all four quarters of 2017. In the overall 2017 fiscal year, revenue climbed by over 15% to around EUR3.57bn, with contributions from all business segments. Earnings before taxes in 2017 are up some 12% to around EUR163m, which translates to an EBT margin of 4.6%. As of 31 December 2017, Bechtle had a total of 8,353 employees, 8.9% more than in the previous year.

“2017 was another very successful business year for Bechtle. We were able to keep up our excellent momentum throughout the year, which also enabled us to compensate extraordinary items to the amount of EUR4.5m, which had a positive effect on earnings in the previous year. At the same time, we continued to invest in numerous strategic projects to further develop our top-notch position in the European IT market,” explains Dr Thomas Olemotz, CEO of Bechtle AG.

Bechtle AG will be publishing its full, audited financial statements for the 2017 fiscal year on Friday, 16 March 2018.
