Results exceed the company's own expectations
Neckarsulm, 06/02/2009 – Bechtle AG continued its successful course of
growth in 2008, improving upon its strong performance from the previous
year in both revenue and profit, according to preliminary figures.
After a very positive development in December, Bechtle recorded a revenue
of approximately 1.43 thousand million Euros for the fiscal year, which
represents a 4 per cent increase compared to the previous year's mark of
1.38 thousand million Euros. Earnings before taxes (EBT) for the fiscal
year 2008 exceeded the company's own expectations of approximately 60
million Euros, which also surpasses the mark set in the previous fiscal
year (2007: 59 million Euros).
'We are very happy with the business development in the fiscal year 2008,
considering the overall market conditions. Being able to once again top our
strong performance of the previous year is a great achievement that we owe,
above all, to the outstanding work and commitment of our employees,'
explains Dr. Thomas Olemotz, chairman of the executive board of Bechtle AG.
Bechtle will publish its final figures for 2008 on 19th March 2009.
