Bechtle AG feeling the effects of the overall economic conditions in Q1 2009

Bechtle AG feeling the effects of the overall economic conditions in Q1
Neckarsulm, 23/04/2009 - The current economic situation has had an impact
on the Bechtle group's first quarter revenues and earnings development of
2009. According to preliminary figures, revenue in the weaker overall
market conditions in the months of January to March were circa 318 million
Euros, around 6% per cent less than last year's first quarter revenue (Q1
2008: 336.9 million Euros). Earnings before tax (EBT) was at approx. 6.1
million Euros, around 50 per cent less than the previous year's quarter (Q1
2008: 12 million Euros).
The interim financial report for the months of January to March 2009, which
provides all the details on Bechtle's business development from the first
quarter 2009, is set to be published on 14th May 2009.

The fiscal year 2008 was the most successful year in the Bechtle group's
25-year history. However, the effects of the financial and economic crisis
have hit Bechtle hard in the first quarter of 2009. Further development for
the Bechtle group in the fiscal year 2009 is largely dependent upon the
degree to which the economic situation improves over the course of the
year.
