Bechtle AG exceeds planned earnings according to 2006 preliminary calculations

Neckarsulm, 23.01.2007 – The Bechtle AG Board expects earnings before tax
to be over 45 million Euros, following the initial analysis of the
preliminary figures for 2006. The Bechtle Group surpassed the last planned
figure of at least 42 million Euros.

After positive business development in what is usually the strongest final
quarter with an unexpectedly high increase in demand in December, the IT
service and retail company achieved more than 18 million Euros - the
highest quarter result in the company's history.

Based on preliminary calculations, the Board confirmed the expected
turnover of over 1.2 thousand million Euros (previous year: 1.18 thousand
million Euros). Despite numerous strategic measures and restructuring
within the Group, Bechtle thereby continued the profitable course of growth
in 2006.

The Bechtle Group will announce its final and audited business figures for
the fiscal year 2006 on 28th March 2007.
