Bechtle AG: Another considerable increase in growth in the 2nd quarter of 2007 / Expected earnings for the year raised
Bechtle AG / Preliminary Results/Half Year Results

Neckarsulm, 20/07/2007 – Based on preliminary figures, Bechtle AG expects a
considerable increase in earnings before tax in the second quarter of 2007
compared to the previous year. EBT is expected to be at least 9 million
Euros (previous year: 5.5 million Euros), which equals an increase by 63
per cent. With 22.2 million Euros, EBT in the first half year was 55 per
cent higher than the previous year’s value of 14.3 million Euros. Revenue
in the second quarter was around 318 million Euros (previous year: 284
million Euros), in the first half year it was 619 million Euros (previous
year: 575 million Euros).
Against this background, the executive board raises its EBT prognosis for
the full year 2007. Presupposing a continuous good economic situation and a
strong 4th quarter 2007, an EBT of 55 million Euros is considered
achievable.
The final figures for the second quarter and first half of 2007 will be
published on 10th August 2007.
Information and Explaination of the Issuer to this News:
In the first half year, Bechtle AG profited from the strong economic
situation in Germany. Small and medium-sized businesses in particular –
Bechtle’s main target group – showed a noticeable willingness to invest.
Bechtle AG’s business is very cyclical and the fourth quarter accounts for
a disproportionate part of revenue and earnings. Against this background,
the executive board considers the expected 55 million Euros EBT ambitious
yet achievable. However, this requires a consistent, good economic
situation in Germany in the second half of 2007 and a continued willingness
to invest, with these factors becoming stronger towards the end of the
year.
