Bechtle AG: Another considerable increase in growth in the 3rd quarter of 2007 / Expected earnings for the year raised further
Bechtle AG / Forecast/Quarter Results

Neckarsulm, 22/10/2007 – Based on preliminary figures, Bechtle AG expects a
considerable increase in earnings in the third quarter of 2007 compared to
the previous year. EBT is expected to be around 17 million Euros (Q3 2006:
12.4 million Euros), which equals an increase of approx. 37 per cent. With
around 39.4 million Euros, EBT in the three quarters of the current year
was some 47 per cent higher than the previous year’s value (26.8 million
Euros). Revenue in the third quarter was around 340 million Euros (previous
year: 281 million Euros), in the first nine months it was 971 million Euros
(previous year: 856 million Euros).
Against this background, the Executive Board again raises its EBT prognosis
for the full year 2007. Presupposing a continuous good economic situation
and a strong 4th quarter 2007, an EBT of 58 million Euros is considered
realistic.
The final figures for the third quarter and first nine months of 2007 will
be published on 13th November 2007.

In the current year, Bechtle AG is profiting from the strong economic
situation in Germany. Small and medium-sized businesses in particular –
Bechtle’s main target group – have, also in the third quarter 2007, shown a
welcome development in demand, similar to the first half-year 2007.
Bechtle AG's business is very cyclical and the fourth quarter accounts for
a disproportionate part of revenue and earnings. Thus, the realisation of
the ambitious forecast requires a consistently good economic situation in
Germany in the final months of 2007 and a continued willingness to invest
from SMBs, with these factors becoming stronger towards the end of the
year.
