Bechtle: Preliminary Figures for the Third Quarter Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Bechtle: Preliminary Figures for the Third Quarter Gaildorf, 4.11.2003. According to preliminary figures (US GAAP) the IT system house Bechtle achieved a pre-tax profit of around 8.9 million Euros during the third quarter. This signifies an increase of around 17% compared to the third quarter of the previous year (Q3/02: 7.6 million Euros). On a nine monthly basis the pre-tax profit of around 16.9 million Euros shows a rise of over 40% (+ 5 million Euros, 9m/02: 11.9 million Euro). Net sales during the third quarter of 2003 exceeded 200 million Euros (Q3/02: 204.9 -2 %). On a nine monthly basis Bechtle recorded a turnover of around 562 million Euros; slightly more than in the previous year (9m/02: 558.3 million Euros). The figures include PSB which was consolidated on the 1st April and in which Bechtle has held the majority since 25th March. Excluding PSB, Bechtle recorded a turnover of around 172 million Euros and a pre-tax profit of around 8.1 million Euros for the third quarter. It must be noted that PSB recorded personnel costs during the report period which Bechtle passivated during the first consolidation. Bechtle will present its final figures with a quarterly report and a prediction of the annual profit for 2003 on 13th November 2003.
