Bechtle AG english

Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Bechtle is distancing from the weak IT-Market: 48 % increase in sales and a EBT grow up by 1,0 to 5,3 mill.Euro/ Equity-rate of 71,8 %/ BIOS e-procurement- solution is conducted to a frame contract with the Siemens AG Gaildorf (Bechtle). A highly successful first half year is conducted. The sale increase of 47,5 % (without acquisitions 30,0 %) to 297,7 mill.Euro, contributed good figures to the operational targets set out for the year 2001. Our EBIT trebled to 4,5 mill.Euro, the EBT even quintupled to 5,3 mill.Euro in comparison with the first half of the year 2000. In spite of our dividend distribution of 5,0 mill.Euro in June 2001, the equity-rate of 71,8 % stated to 30.06.2001 could almost hold in level score to 72,2 % of 31.12.2000. Earnings per share according to DVFA/SG amounts to 16 Cent compared with 0,5 Cent in the previous year. Segmental analysis of 1.01.-30.06.2001 (2000): in mill. Euro Group e-commerce System integration Sales 297,7 (201,8) 63,0 (39,1) 234,7 (162,7) EBITDA 9,8 (5,8) 1,5 (0,6) 8,3 (5,2) EBIT 4,5 (1,5) 1,1 (0,4) 3,4 (1,1) EBT 5,3 (1,0) Employees to 30.06.2001: 2.004 ( 1.515) The operative loss amounting to 0,6 mill.Euro for the take over of TDS Infrastrukturservice GmbH dated on 1.4.2001 is concluded in the results. For the third quarter we expect a loss of 0,2 mill.Euro followed by positive earnings in the first quarter 2002, at the latest. The unique status of BIOS as a recognized and practicable e-procurement solution to reduce the procurement expenditure, is underlined by the European Frame Contract for delivering IT- products not only to internal demand but also to external customers, just concluded with the Siemens AG via the marketplace www.click2procure.de. The volume of new orders, which amounted to 57,0 mill.Euro in July 2001 is an indicator for a positive business development in the future, and give us reason to assume that we will be able to achieve our operational targets set out for the year 2001, although it is difficult to reliably forecast business development against this background of weak demand. Our Corporate Report-first 6 months, firstly in form of structured quarter reports, will give you further information under www.bechtle.de from 9 a.m. on. end of ad-hoc-announcement (c)DGAP 31.08.2001 ——————————————————————————– WKN: 515870; Index: Listed: Neuer Markt Frankfurt; Freiverkehr in Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, München, Hamburg, Hannover und Stuttgart 310817 Aug 01
