Bechtle in future with extended management structure

Effective 1st March 2004, the current Chairman and CEO Gerhard Schick moves to the Supervisory Board of Bechtle AG and assumes the position of Chairman. He will be immediately succeeded by Karl-Heinz Gosmann, currently the sole member of the management board of PSB AG, in which Bechtle this year acquired a majority share-holding. With the appointment of Karl-Heinz Gosmann, Bechtle gains an excellent chief executive with considerable experience of the industry who, together with the founding member of the Bechtle board Ralf Klenk, will secure the successful future development of the Bechtle Group. Karl-Heinz Gosmann assumes responsibility for Bechtle’s eCommerce, PSB, financial and corporate strategy divisions, and public relations. Ralf Klenk remains responsible for system houses, logistics & service, in-company IT and continues as labour relations director. Gerhard Schick, who, together with his family, is also the principal shareholder, will continue to support Bechtle as an active member of the Supervisory Board with his enormous expertise based on the so-called SAP model. The two-member Board of Directors will in future be supported by an operative management committee composed of three experienced members of the Bechtle management. This extended management structure ensures that the change at Board level will be completed while at the same time maintaining continuity and predictability.
