Director Appointment

Beazley plc announces that the board has appointed Christine LaSala as a non executive director with effect from 1 July 2016. 

Based in New York, Ms LaSala has recently retired as Chair of Willis Towers Watson North America. Ms LaSala is a past president and CEO of WTC Captive Insurance Company and prior to that Ms LaSala had a career spanning more than 20 years at Johnson & Higgins where she was a partner and ultimately managed one of the largest business units. When Johnson & Higgins was acquired by Marsh & McLennan in 1997, Ms LaSala became a member of Marsh, Inc. board of directors and managing director and global practices leader.  

Beazley's chairman Dennis Holt said "I am delighted to welcome Chris to the board of Beazley plc. As the US continues to be a strategic focus for the group, Chris' contributions will help us to continue the growth in this important market."

Beazley plc has been notified that there are no details to be disclosed pursuant to Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules in respect of Ms LaSala.
