H1 FY2022 - Trading Update

Beacon Lighting Group Limited (ASX: BLX) is pleased to provide the market with a trading update for H1 FY2022 (for the 26 weeks ending 26 December 2021).

The continued importance of the home has supported the strong trading momentum that has been enjoyed by the Beacon Lighting retail, trade, eCommerce and international businesses throughout H1 FY2022. Total sales have been maintained, while gross profit margins and expenses have continued to be carefully managed. The Beacon Lighting Group unaudited sales and profit result for H1 FY2022 are very much in line with the results from H1 FY2021 where the Group achieved sales of $151.3 million and Net Profit After Tax (NPAT) of $22.2 million. Therefore, the expected NPAT result for H1 FY2022, appears to be a significant increase to analysts’ expectations.

The Beacon Lighting Group Chief Executive Officer, Glen Robinson said, “the continued lockdowns and ongoing disruptions throughout H1 FY2022 have been challenging for the Beacon Lighting Group, our teams and our customers. Despite these challenges, the Group is aligned with the household goods sector and has benefited from the strong interest in the lighting and ceiling fan product categories from our customers.

Throughout H1 FY2022, Beacon Lighting has been working closely with our manufacturing partners to best meet demand in a disrupted logistics environment and remained focused on providing exceptional service to our customers. Our customers have continued to be adaptable whether that is purchasing products in store, online or using our click and collect service. Going into H2 FY2022, Beacon Lighting will continue to offer the latest innovations and designs in the lighting and ceiling fan product categories supported by service which will continue to inspire our customers”.
