Trading Update

Beacon Lighting Group Limited (ASX: BLX) is pleased to provide Net Profit After Tax guidance for the FY2021 (for the 52 weeks ending 27 June 2021).

The positive trading momentum that was enjoyed in H1 FY2021 by the Beacon Lighting Group has continued into H2 FY2021. Retail trading conditions have continued to be supportive of the Beacon Lighting stores. Growth in retail and online sales, improvement in gross profit margins and the careful management of expenses has seen a significant improvement in the profit results of the Beacon Lighting Group in FY2021.

There is still some uncertainty in the general economy and in the absence of an adverse material event, the Beacon Lighting Group has prepared the following profit guidance for FY2021 compared to the underlying result for FY2020 (for the 52 weeks ending 28 June 2020).

(1) FY2020 underlying result excludes the impact of Beacon Energy Solutions and the profit on the sale of the Parkinson Distribution Centre.

Commenting on the trading update, Glen Robinson, the Beacon Lighting Group Chief Executive Officer said “thanks to our adaptable team and the continued support of our valued customers, Beacon Lighting has been able to achieve outstanding results. During the year, Beacon Lighting has continued to innovate with the latest designs in lighting and ceiling fans, store expansion and formats, service to our trade customers and the online shopping experience. Together with specialist customer advice and great value, the Beacon Lighting team has been able to achieve exceptional results in FY2021”.

The Beacon Lighting Group plan to release the FY2021 audited result on 19 August 2021.
