Beacon Lighting Group enters into GE Distribution & License Agreement

Beacon Lighting Group (ASX:BLX) is pleased to announce details of a new business initiative to take effect from September 2015.

The Beacon Lighting Group has entered into a sole Distribution and IP License Agreement with GE Lighting for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

These agreements provide the Group with wholesale distribution rights of the current GE branded range of lamps (globes) and other consumer lighting fixtures. They also provide use of the prominent GE brand under license for further product development by Beacon Lighting.

The Group intends to focus on significantly broadening the range of GE branded products through further introduction of the latest and innovative LED lighting technologies.

This new business initiative will operate as Light Source Solutions in both Australia and New Zealand within the electrical wholesale and other retail sales channels. The business will concentrate initially on revitalising the product range, improving customer service levels and providing competitive pricing across all sales channels.

The Beacon Lighting Group sees this as an opportunity for continued growth by leveraging a trusted global consumer brand through multiple new sales channels.
