BATHHURST RESOURCES (NEW ZEALAND) LIMITED

TRADING HALT

The securities of Bathurst Resources (New Zealand) Ltd (the “Company”) will be placed in trading halt session state at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in trading halt session state until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading Wednesday, 4 September 2013 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Bathurst Resources (New Zealand) Limited (ASX:BRL) (Bathurst) – Request for Trading Halt

In accordance with Listing Rule 17.1, Bathurst requests that a trading halt be placed on its securities immediately. Bathurst proposes to shortly make an announcement to the market regarding an impending equity raising.

The trading halt should remain in place until the earlier of the commencement of trading on 3 September 2013 or when Bathurst makes an announcement regarding the outcome of the equity raising, which it expects will be later today or in any event before the commencement of trading on 3 September 2013.

Bathurst is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted, nor of any other information relevant to this request.
