in the name and on behalf of AXA Financial, Inc., AXA Equitable Financial
Services, LLC, AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, Equitable Holdings
LLC, all of New York, USA, AllianceBernstein Corporation, AllianceBernstein
L.P., both of New York, USA

as follows:

On April 16, 2009 the share of AllianceBernstein L.P., New York, USA, of
the voting rights in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 3% of the voting
rights in BASF SE and at that date amounted to 2,97 % (27.432.575 voting
rights). These voting rights are attributed pursuant to § 22 para 1
sentence 1 no 6 WpHG.

On April 16, 2009 the share of AllianceBernstein Corporation, New York,
USA, of the voting rights in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 3% of the
voting rights in BASF SE and at that date amounted to 2,97 % (27.432.575
voting rights). These voting rights are attributed pursuant to § 22 para 1
sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

On April 16, 2009 the share of Equitable Holdings LLC, New York, USA, of
the voting rights in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 3% of the voting
rights in BASF SE and at that date amounted to 2,97 % (27.432.575 voting
rights). These voting rights are attributed pursuant to § 22 para 1
sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

On April 16, 2009 the share of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, New
York, USA, of the voting rights in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 3%
of the voting rights in BASF SE and at that date amounted to 2,97 %
(27.432.575 voting rights). These voting rights are attributed pursuant to
§ 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.
