Notification of voting rights pursuant to § 25 a WpHG (corrective
notification)

On May 3, 2013 we received the following notification pursuant to § 25 a
WpHG (correction of the notification dated April 30, 2013):

On April 24, 2013, the percentage holding of the voting rights of SEB AG,
Frankfurt, Germany, in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 5 % and amounts
to 1.22 % (11247000 voting rights) on that day. Thereof, 1.21 % (11155000
voting rights) are instruments pursuant to § 25 a WpHG, 0 % (0 voting
rights) are instruments pursuant to § 25 WpHG and 0.01 % (92000 voting
rights) are voting rights pursuant to §§ 21, 22 WpHG.
