Release according to § 26 para 1 sentence 1 WpHG
(Amended declaration of Interest for trade date December 01, 2009)

BR Jersey International Holdings, L.P., St. Helier, Jersey has notified us
on February 11, 2010 pursuant to § 21 para 1 and § 24 WpHG
as follows:

1. On December 01, 2009 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BR
   Jersey International Holdings, L.P. in BASF SE exceeded the threshold of 3
   % and amounts to 3,12 % (28,700,855 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BR Jersey International
Holdings, L.P. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with
sentence 2 WpHG.
