Kopore Metals Limited (ASX: KMT, “Kopore” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the recommencement of drilling at the Botswana Korong Central Domal Prospect. As previously announced[1] , the Company had received a reinterpretation of its 2017 airborne electromagnetic (EM) survey results, prompting an RC and diamond drilling program, which was completed in late Q4 2018.

Following a detailed re-evaluation of the EM survey results and geological review of the drill core, including a peer review, the Company has now reentered hole KCD_DD_001 at Korong Central.

The objective of the drilling program will be to further test the lower D’Kar/Ngwako Pan Formation contact position. The lower D’Kar Formation is known as the host for copper-silver mineralisation across the Kalahari Copper Belt.

The hole will be extended by 200-300m or until the contact position is intersected.

Drilling to date at the Korong Dome in Botswana has achieved a total of 3,698.15m with RAB/RC accounting for 3,452.6m, (RAB = 1,155 & RC = 2,297.6m) and diamond drilling totalling 245.55m.

Commenting, Simon Jackson, Managing Director said “We are excited to be drilling again in Botswana at Korong Central and will keep the market informed as we target the D’Kar/Ngwako Pan contact. Kopore remains focused on its goal of finding the next copper deposit on the Kalahari Copper Belt.”
