Board change

Barratt Developments PLC announces that, after nine years' service, Senior Independent Director, Richard Akers will be standing down from the Board with effect from Tuesday 4 May.

The Nomination Committee and the Board have appointed, effective from 4 May, successors for the roles held by Richard as follows:

·   Jock Lennox will become the Senior Independent Director whilst continuing to chair the Audit Committee;

·    Katie Bickerstaffe will Chair the Remuneration Committee;

·    Chris Weston will Chair the Safety, Health and Environment Committee; and

·    Sharon White will be the Designated Non-Executive Director for Workforce Engagement.

John Allan, Chair of the Company said: "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Richard for his significant contribution to Barratt over the past nine years; in particular his excellent Chairmanship of the Remuneration Committee and his wise counsel as Senior Independent Director. I wish him the very best in his future endeavours."
