The following is a Company Announcement issued by Bank of Valletta p.l.c. pursuant to the Malta Financial Services Authority Listing Rule 5.174.2:

As announced by Bank of Valletta p.l.c. (the "Bank") by means of company announcement 333 issued on the 26 March 2018, the Bank's Board of Directors was advised by UniCredit S.p.A. (UniCredit), of its intention to dispose of its total shareholding in the Bank to an investor that was already identified.

Further to a company announcement issued on the 16 April 2018 by Amalgamated Investments SICAV p.l.c. the Bank is informed that Amalgamated Investments SICAV p.l.c. has entered into a preliminary agreement with UniCredit, to acquire UniCredit's qualifying shareholding in the Bank, subject to regulatory approval.
