Banco Espírito Santo, SA (BES) informs, pursuant to article 248.º of the Securities Code, that Espírito Santo Bank, in Miami, changed its name to Brickell Bank. BES' shareholding in Espírito Santo Bank was one of the assets that remained with BES after the application of the resolution tool determined by Bank of Portugal on 3 August 2014, and BES has already entered into an agreement with a group of investors for the sale of this shareholding, as per the release disclosed through the information disclosure system on 1 May 2015 (http://web3.cmvm.pt/sdi/emitentes/docs/FR55314.pdf). It should be recalled that the sale is subject to certain conditions, including the approval of the transaction by the relevant regulatory authorities. The new name was adopted within the rebranding strategy of Espírito Santo Bank, now Brickell Bank, and has been consented both by BES and by the purchaser of the bank in the context of the aforementioned sale transaction.
