Banco Comercial Português, S.A. informs that, following the process of evaluation of strategic scenarios to enhance the value of ActivoBank, it has been decided to select Cabot Square Capital LLP, a financial services specialist private equity firm with approximately €1 billion in funds under management.
It further informs that no final decision has yet been made in relation to the sale of Activobank and, therefore, no investment decision should be made in reliance upon the outcome of those negotiations.
Banco Comercial Português, S.A. will communicate further information regarding any final decision it may take, if any, in due course.
