October 9, 2018 Banco Comercial Português, S.A. informs about upgrade of long-term credit rating by S&P Global Ratings

S&P Global Ratings upgraded BCP's long-term issuer credit rating to BB from BB- and affirmed its short-term counterparty credit rating at B. The outlook is stable. The Stand Alone Credit Profile (SACP) was also upgraded to bb from bb-. The resolution counterparty ratings were upgraded to BBB- / A-3 from BB+/B.

S&P Global Ratings recognizes BCP's progress in reducing the stock of NPEs and recovering profitability in Portugal.
