Next renewal of the Board of Directors of Banco BPM

Milan, 8 January 2020 – Banco BPM herewith announces that today the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Carlo Fratta Pasini, has informed the Nomination Committee, the Board of Directors and the Board of Statutory Auditors about his decision not to run again at the next renewal of the Board of Directors of the Bank.

The Chairman explained that he had come to this decision after considering the length of his term of office and the positive and - in some respects - extraordinary results achieved by Banco BPM three years after the merger.

He also emphasized Banco BPM's inevitable interest in leveraging the upcoming renewal of the Board of Directors to showcase the Bank's innovations and future outlook, so as to obtain a wider and faster recognition for the results it has achieved by all stakeholders and - first and foremost – by the market.
