BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA SUBMITS THE LIST FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF MEDIOBANCA- BANCA DI CREDITO FINANZIARIO

Siena, 3 October 2025 – The Board of Directors of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A., concluded late yesterday evening under the chairpersonship of Nicola Maione, with reference to the ordinary Shareholders' Meeting of MEDIOBANCA - Banca di Credito Finanziario Società per Azioni ("Mediobanca") convened on 28 October 2025, as holder of 86.3% of Mediobanca's share capital, has resolved to provide for the filing of the following list for the appointment of Mediobanca's new Board of Directors.

• ii. Alessandro Melzi d'Eril (Chief Executive Officer)
• iii. Sandro Panizza (*)
• iv. Paolo Gallo (*)
• v. Massimo Lapucci (*)

• vii. Giuseppe Matteo Masoni (*)
• viii. Federica Minozzi (*)
• ix. Donatella Vernisi
• x. Andrea Zappia (*)
• xi. Ines Gandini (*)

Without prejudice to the provisions of Mediobanca's By-laws, which establish that the appointment of the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer and any Deputy Chairpersons is reserved to the Board of Directors, the shareholder Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena recommends the appointment of Vittorio Umberto Grilli, as Chairperson the Board of Directors and Alessandro Melzi d'Eril, as Chief Executive Officer.
