Change of name

Witan Pacific Investment Trust plc (the "Company") announces that it has changed its name to Baillie Gifford China Growth Trust plc. The change of name became effective on 7 October 2020. Shareholder approval was granted at the general meeting on 16 September 2020 to change the Company name. 

Since assuming management of the Company's portfolio, Baillie Gifford have completed the reorganisation of the Company's portfolio of holdings into a portfolio of Chinese companies to align with the Company's revised investment policy.

The ISIN and SEDOL numbers of the Company will remain unchanged. The Company's trading instrument display mnemonic was changed from WPC to BGCG and became effective on 21 September 2020.

The Company's shares are expected to trade under the new name on the London Stock Exchange with effect from 8.00 a.m. on 12 October 2020.

Shareholders are unaffected by the change of name and existing share certificates should be retained and will remain valid.  Any new share certificates issued will bear the name Baillie Gifford China Growth Trust plc.
