Significant Direct and Indirect Interests - Correction

Since 2006, Barclays plc ("Barclays") has been named in BAE Systems plc (the "Company") Annual Reports as a major shareholder. In response to the Company's recent request to clarify its shareholdings, Barclays confirmed that it does not have a notifiable direct or indirect interest in the Company, and has not done since prior to November 2009.

The Company is making this announcement to correct the inaccurate shareholding information in its Annual Reports. The Company has not been informed of any transaction in recent years in the Company's ordinary shares by Barclays that would require an announcement.
