Board Appointment

The Board of BAE Systems plc has today appointed Chris Grigg a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 July 2013.

Chris Grigg is Chief Executive of The British Land Company PLC, a position he has held for the past four years.

Sir Richard Olver, Chairman of BAE Systems, said:  "We are very pleased that Chris Grigg has agreed to join the BAE Systems board.  As chief executive of a FTSE 100 company he has the experience and skills necessary to make a great contribution to the effectiveness of our board."

He has no details to disclose under paragraph 9.6.13 of The Listing Rules.
