Preliminary consolidated earnings for Q1 2007 (IFRS)

Unterschleissheim, 16th April 2007

Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG earned a net profit of EUR8.7 million in Q1
2007 compared to EUR13.3 million in Q1 2006. The income from ordinary
activities amounts to EUR11.8 million (previous year: EUR18.2 million). The
increase in net fee and commission income up to 37 percent to EUR13.7
million is remarkable.

The figures of Q1 2006 contained earnings from sales of available-for-sale
holdings of EUR4.9 million. Without this special item the result is
approximately at the same high level as last year.

Shareholders’ equity as of March 31, 2007 was EUR161.7 million (December
31, 2006: EUR152.6 million). Earnings per share were EUR0.19 on the
reporting date (previous year: EUR0.30). The Group employed a total of 277
people (previous year: 234 employees).
