Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG: Preliminary consolidated earnings for Q3 2006 (IFRS)

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Unterschleissheim, 12th October 2006 Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG increased net profit in the first nine month from EUR3.9 million in the previous year to EUR18.1 million. Income from ordinary activities quadrupled in the reference period to EUR24.5 million. Due to declining trading volumes during summertime at the German Stock Exchanges Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG added in Q3 2006 EUR1.1 million to the total net profit. The Executive Board expects further positive results in Q4 2006 because of the strong markets in early October. Shareholders’ equity as of September 30, 2006 was EUR138.9 million (December 31, 2005: EUR127 million). Earnings per share were EUR0.40 on the reporting date (previous year: EUR0.09).
