The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Baader announces 1st semi-annual 2002 preliminary consolidated results (IAS) Unterschleißheim, July 3, 2002 Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG reports preliminary consolidated earnings per share for the 1st semi-annual 2002 of EUR -1.09, compared with EUR -0.60 in the previous year. Preliminary consolidated Earnings after taxes totalled EUR -25 million, against EUR -12.5 million in the previous year. Write-downs on Available-for-sale holdings rised to EUR 14 million. At the end of the period under review, equity amounted to EUR 157 million. As of June 30, 2002, the Group had 206 employees (222 in the previous year).
