SUB.: RE-CLASSIFICATION TO "PUBLIC" CATEGORY FROM "PROMOTER" CATEGORY.

REF: REGULATION 30 AND 31A OF THE SEBI (LISTING OBLIGATIONS AND DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS) REGULATIONS, 2015 ("LISTING REGULATIONS").

This is in continuation of our letter nos. AXIS/CO/CS/574/2020-21 dated 27th February 2021, AXIS/CO/CS/628/2020-21 dated 26th March 2021, AXIS/CO/CS/31/2021-22 dated 28th April 2021 and AXIS/CO/CS/126/2021-22 dated 14th June, 2021 intimating on the consideration and approval of requests received from United India Insurance Company Limited("UIICL"), National Insurance Company Limited ("NICL"), The New India Assurance Company Limited ("NIACL") and General Insurance Corporation of India ("GIC") respectively, by the Board of Directors (the "Board") of the Axis Bank Limited ("Bank"), to reclassify them to "Public" category from "Promoter" category, subject to the approval of the Shareholders of the Bank and the Stock Exchanges.

We wish to inform you that pursuant to the approval granted by the Shareholders of the Bank for the aforesaid reclassification at the 27th Annual General Meeting held on Friday, 30th July, 2021, the Bank has submitted the prescribed applications to BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited on 5th August, 2021 in accordance with the relevant provisions of Regulation 31A of the Listing Regulations.

You are requested to take the above on record and bring this to the notice of all concerned.
