PRESS RELEASE 2 September 2013

Axfood Närlivs plans relocation of operations from Tyringe

Axfoods Närlivs' board of directors has made a strategic decision to begin negotiations surrounding a relocation of the company's operations from Tyringe.

"The strategic decision is based on our ambition to adapt our operations to our customers' future needs and to create the potential for future, internal synergies," comments Nicholas Pettersson, Divisional Manager at Axfood Närlivs.

The operational change would entail the following:

* Tyringe's warehouse operations, i.e., the Perishables and Cold Storage functions, would be moved to Gothenburg and Jordbro

* Relocation of a few picking and packing positions to Gothenburg

* Coordination of store support in Örebro

A total of approximately 30 positions will be affected. Transport operations will remain in Tyringe.

Union negotiations will begin shortly.
