Axfood to reorganize

Axfood is reorganizing and will combine all its warehouse and transport operations into a single unit. In order of achieve additional efficiency gains, the Purchasing Division will also be coordinated here.

The President of the new organization will be Nicholas Pettersson who will assume his position at the start of 2014.

In his new role Nicholas will have overall responsibility for leading and developing Axfood's operational and strategic logistics processes. The Purchasing Director, Hans Holmstedt, will continue to report to CEO Anders Strålman.

Nicholas Pettersson has been Director of Axfood Närlivs since 2009. A recruitment process for his successor will be initiated.

Axfood AB bedriver handel med dagligvaror inom detalj- och partihandeln i Sverige. Detaljhandeln drivs genom de egenägda kedjorna Willys, Hemköp och PrisXtra. Antalet butiker uppgår till 254. Därutöver samverkar Axfood med ett stort antal handlarägda butiker knutna till Axfood genom avtal, bland annat inom Hemköpskedjan och Willys men också under varumärken som Handlar'n och Tempo. Totalt samverkar Axfood med cirka 820 handlarägda butiker. Partihandeln drivs genom Dagab och Axfood Närlivs. Axfood är noterat på Nasdaq OMX Stockholm ABs Large Caplista. Huvudägare är Axel Johnson AB med 50,1 procent av aktierna.
