Ola Andersson leaves Hemköpskedjan

- Anders Strålman appointed Acting President

Anders Strålman, President and CEO of Axfood, is now Acting President of Hemköpskedjan.

Anders Strålman will take over the role of Acting President of Hemköpskedjan in tandem with his current job as President and CEO of Axfood. Ola Andersson is stepping down for personal reasons and with immediate effect. The recruitment of his successor will begin at the earliest possible opportunity.

During his two years at the company, Ola Andersson has helped Hemköp achieve a positive profitability and sales trend. The period also saw the successful conversion of the Vi stores which has strengthened Hemköp's brand considerably.

Axfood AB conducts food retail and wholesale business in Sweden. Retail business is conducted through the wholly owned store chains Willys, Hemköp and PrisXtra, comprising 243 stores in all. In addition, Axfood collaborates with a large number of proprietor-run stores that are tied to Axfood through agreements. These include stores within the Hemköp and Willys chains as well as stores run under the Handlar'n and Tempo profiles. In all, Axfood collaborates with approximately 820 proprietor-run stores. Wholesaling is conducted through Dagab and Axfood Närlivs. Axfood is listed on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm AB's Large Cap list. Axel Johnson AB is the principal owner, with 50.1% of the shares.
