AVIVA TO MEET FIXED INCOME INVESTORS AHEAD OF POTENTIAL HYBRID CAPITAL ISSUE

Aviva plc ("Aviva") announces its intention to arrange a series of fixed income investor meetings with European Institutional Investors with a view to a potential hybrid capital issuance.

The Group has c£0.8bn* of hybrid capital with call dates over the next 10 months and the proceeds of any issuance will be used for general corporate and financing purposes. This is in-line with our plans to reduce the Group's tangible debt leverage ratio to below 40% in the medium term.
