AVIVA PLC 2016 SOLVENCY AND FINANCIAL CONDITION REPORT

In accordance with the Solvency II regulatory framework which became effective from 1 January 2016, Aviva plc (Aviva) announces that the 2016 Solvency and Financial Condition Report ('SFCR') has been published on our website (http://www.aviva.com/investor-relations/institutional-investors/regulatory-returns/). The document is the first version of the SFCR that is required to be published.

On March 9 2017, Aviva announced its preliminary results including Solvency II disclosures. The SFCR published today provides more detailed narrative and information regarding those previously published results.

In addition to the report, a high level presentation including highlights from Aviva 2016 SFCR has also been published on our website (http://www.aviva.com/investor-relations/institutional-investors/regulatory-returns/) and should be read in conjunction with Aviva 2016 SFCR.
