AVI Global Trust plc (the "Company")

Cancellation of Treasury Shares

The Company has 45,600,956 of its own ordinary shares held as treasury shares, out of a total of 482,662,627 shares in issue.

The Company's Board has elected to reduce the number of shares in treasury to approximately 5% of the current shares in circulation (excluding treasury shares), by cancelling 23,727,872 of the shares held in treasury. Following this cancellation, the Company will have 458,934,755 shares in issue and 21,873,084 shares in treasury.

The number of shares in circulation and total voting rights of the Company remain unchanged at 437,061,671 shares. There is no change in the Company's net asset value per share as a result of this action.
