APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Avation PLC (LSE: AVAP), the commercial passenger aircraft leasing company, announces that it has appointed Dr Stephen Fisher PhD as a non-executive Director to its Board today. 

Dr Fisher is a Singapore resident, who is currently the Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of First Degree Global Asset Management Pte Ltd, a Singapore company focused on fixed income investment. Dr Fisher has more than 20 years' experience in the financial sector, predominately as the former Head of Global Fixed Income Product - Asia Pacific at JP Morgan Asset Management. He previously held positions at JP Morgan Investment Management, Merrill Lynch and Salomon Smith Barney.

Commenting today, Jeff Chatfield, Executive Chairman said: "I am very pleased to announce Stephen Fisher's appointment as a non-executive director on the Avation Board. We anticipate his valuable insights into debt markets. The company strives to minimise the cost of its borrowings and has already refinanced a substantial proportion of its finance facilities."
