Avantium nominates Rob van Leen for appointment to the Supervisory Board

AMSTERDAM, 3 April 2019, 17:45 CET – Avantium announces the nomination of Rob van Leen for appointment to its Supervisory Board. The nomination will be submitted to the Avantium Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 15 May 2019.

Rob van Leen is currently Chief Innovation Officer at Royal DSM N.V. and member of the Executive Committee. Prior to this role, from 1987 until 2006, he held several senior business roles at DSM. Rob van Leen has a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Nijmegen and an MSc in Biologics from University of Utrecht. He also holds an MBA degree from Nyenrode University.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board Kees Verhaar commented: "We are very pleased to nominate Rob van Leen for appointment to the Supervisory Board.
