AVADA Group Limited (ASX:AVD) (‘AVADA’, ‘the Company’ or ‘the Group’), the listed provider of traffic management services in Australia and New Zealand, is pleased to announce it has entered into a formal joint venture arrangement to establish a new traffic management company, Bilingarra Indigenous Services (Bilingarra).

Combined strengths and resources will lead to expedited growth of both companies.
-
Provides AVADA diversity across its portfolio and reflects the Company’s commitment to making important social contributions.
Overview of Joint Venture with Bilingarra Indigenous Services
AVADA has entered into a 49-51 joint venture agreement with Maranirra Indigenous Services Group to establish Bilingarra Indigenous Services Pty Ltd. Managing Director of Bilingarra, Lane Stockton, established the company to fulfil two objectives; build a sustainable Indigenous business, and provide opportunities for Indigenous peoples and give back to the community, through the workplace.
“Bilingarra has high aspirations, to create generational change for Indigenous peoples. I’m extremely excited to partner with AVADA, to deliver professional traffic management services, while contributing to closing the gap.”
“Both companies have a shared commitment to traffic management projects that are commercially viable, but will also benefit Indigenous communities,” Mr Stockton said.
Bilingarra sets out an innovative business model, in cooperation with AVADA, that will transition eligible employees through the following process:
-
hire Indigenous peoples local to the communities in which they operate;
-
provide training for the necessary skills and qualifications through existing AVADA businesses;
-
assign skilled workers to the project operated by Bilingarra; and
-
once the project is complete, workers will remain within AVADA's subsidiary companies for ongoing, sustainable work.
It is this innovative employment pathway that gives AVADA Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mr Daniel Crowley commitment to this partnership.
“Partnering with Bilingarra gives AVADA access to local expertise through their understanding of the local communities, and cultures. Once the Bilingarra project has finished, continuing employment with AVADA provides opportunities for career growth and mentoring within the larger organisation.
“This is a great fit with AVADA and I’m excited about the positive difference we can make,” Mr Crowley said.
This announcement is authorised for release by the Board of Directors of AVADA Group Limited.
