Item 8.01 Other Events

On October 19, 2012, Autoliv, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it is making a capital expenditure of $33 million to construct a new manufacturing facility in China. A copy of this press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated herein by reference.

On October 19, 2012, the Company also issued another press release announcing that it will expand its technical center for active safety and vehicle restraint development in Shanghai, China. A copy of this press release is filed as Exhibit 99.2 to this report and is incorporated herein by reference.
