AutoCount Recurring Revenue Hits Record RM4.4 Million in 1QFY26 as SaaS Transition Gains Momentum
- Recurring revenue grew 35.6% YoY to RM4.4 million, now comprising 30.4% of total revenue as the Group pivots aggressively toward a highly predictable Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.
- Following the normalisation of the FY2025 e-Invoicing surge, core momentum stabilised with 1QFY26 profit before tax (PBT) rising 22.2% quarter-on-quarter to RM6.3 million.
- Deferred revenue, recognised as contract liabilities, increased sequentially to RM12.3 million, providing visibility over future subscription-based revenue recognitions.
- Net cash from operations reached RM7.3 million, driving total liquid resources to RM56.0 million with zero debt; Board declares interim dividend of 1.5 sen per share.
KUALA LUMPUR, 22nd MAY 2026 – AutoCount Dotcom Berhad (“AutoCount” or “the Group”), an established provider of financial management and business software solutions, today announced its financial results for the first quarter ended 31 March 2026 (1QFY26).
In its first reporting quarter following a successful transfer to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, the Group delivered a record high in recurring income, validating its strategic transition toward a subscription-driven SaaS business model.
For 1QFY26, recurring income surged 35.6% year-on-year to RM4.4 million, representing 30.4% of total revenue compared to just 12.7% a year ago. This structural improvement in earnings quality was anchored by a 44.6% year-on-year jump in SaaS revenue to RM3.4 million, reflecting accelerating enterprise adoption of AutoCount's cloud-native solutions. Consequently, subscription revenue now accounts for 26.3% of the Group's distribution revenue, up from 9.8% in 1QFY25.
At the Group level, AutoCount recorded revenue of RM14.5 million, PBT of RM6.3 million, and profit after tax (PAT) of RM4.9 million. The year-on-year moderation was anticipated, as the corresponding quarter in FY2025 featured an exceptional RM8.2 million revenue surge driven by early e-Invoicing adoption.

With e-Invoicing modules now normalising to approximately RM1.3 million following substantial prior-year adoption, the Group's quarter-on-quarter performance serves as the accurate barometer for its underlying momentum.
Against the immediate preceding quarter (4QFY25), 1QFY26 revenue grew 3.7%, while PBT expanded 22.2% from RM5.1 million to RM6.3, driving PBT margins up to 43.3% from 36.7%.
Mr. YT Choo, Managing Director of AutoCount Dotcom Berhad, commented on the financial performance:
"The statutory year-on-year comparison reflects our ongoing efforts to broaden our revenue mix through the development of more SaaS subscription-based offerings.
The fact that our recurring revenue surged 35.6% and our deferred revenue expanded to RM12.3 million proves this transition is accelerating. We have moved past the initial e-Invoicing surge and established a much stronger, more resilient baseline. Moving forward, we will continue to enhance our SaaS offerings and strengthen recurring revenue contribution over time, while exploring regional expansion opportunities, strategic collaborations and new product development to support long-term growth."
The Group's balance sheet remains exceptionally robust. AutoCount generated RM7.3 million in net operating cash flow during the quarter, representing a highly efficient cash conversion cycle of 1.5 times PAT. Total liquid resources comprising cash, bank balances, short-term deposits, and short-term investments, expanded to RM56.0 million. The Group remains entirely debt-free.
Reflecting its continued cash generation and commitment to shareholder returns, the Board of Directors has also declared an interim dividend of 1.5 sen per share, amounting to approximately RM8.26 million.
Operationally, AutoCount continues to broaden its product ecosystem, supported by higher subscriptions for AutoCount Cloud HRMS. The growth was mainly driven by increasing SME adoption of cloud-based HR and payroll solutions, as businesses shift their focus back

to workforce administration digitalisation after prioritising e-Invoicing compliance in the preceding period.
Furthermore, the Group continues to execute its regional expansion strategy. Singapore operations recorded a 16.3% year-on-year revenue increase, while the Philippines market also registered strong growth, contributing to the higher revenue from other regional markets.
