Appointment of non–executive director to Australian Unity Limited

Australian Unity Limited announced today that Ms Lisa Chung will join the Australian Unity Limited board with effect from 30 June 2017.

Ms Chung’s appointment follows a considered search by Australian Unity, reflecting both its plans to sustain and broaden the mix of skills and business experience of the board and its board and committee succession planning program.

Ms Chung is currently Chair of Urbis Pty Limited and The Benevolent Society, a director of APN Outdoor Group Limited, Deputy President of Trustees for the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (Powerhouse Museum) and an Advisory Committee Member for the University of Wollongong Early Start.

Prior to this, Ms Chung was a partner at Maddocks Lawyers and held various senior management roles at Blake Dawson (now Ashurst).

In announcing the new appointment, Australian Unity’s chair, Peter Promnitz said, “We are delighted that Lisa has agreed to join the Australian Unity Limited board. Her experience will further strengthen our board and complement our existing expertise.”
