NOMAD AND AUSTAL LIMITED ESTABLISH MANUFACTURING JOINT VENTURE
Nomad Building Solutions Limited ( Nomad ) (ASX Code: NOD) advises that its wholly owned subsidiary, Nomad Modular Building, has entered into a manufacturing joint venture agreement with Austal Limited.
The agreement provides Nomad Modular with an opportunity to manufacture and assemble some of its modular buildings in Austal’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, located in the Henderson based, Australian Marine Complex.
The first project under the agreement will be the manufacture of a number of accommodation and staff amenity buildings for Rio Tinto’s Western Turner Brockman Project (see Nomad’s contract announcement to the ASX dated 20 July).
Nomad’s Managing Director Mr Michael Bourke said “the joint venture agreement was a winwin situation for both companies. It provides Nomad with access to a skilled work force and high-tech manufacturing facilities as well as providing additional manufacturing capacity, and enables Austal Limited to develop new manufacturing expertise and generate additional revenue in the resources sector”.
