APPOINTMENT OF CHRIS INDERMAUR TO AUSTAL BOARD

Austal Limited (ASX:ASB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Chris Indermaur to the Company’s Board of Directors as a Non-executive Director.

Mr Indermaur has over 30 years of experience in large Australian companies in engineering or commercial roles. Amongst these roles he was the Engineering and Contracts Manager for the QNI Nickel Refinery at Yabulu, Company Secretary for QAL and General Manager for Strategy and Development at Alinta Ltd.

With significant experience in strategic executive roles, Mr Indermaur will add a new dimension to Austal’s strategic objectives.

Mr Indermaur’s appointment, which will take effect from 19 October 2018, further strengthens the Board following the appointment of Sarah Adam-Gedge in August 2017.

Austal Chairman John Rothwell said the Board had sought candidates with strong strategic and business management skills and he is delighted to welcome Mr Indermaur to the Board.

“Chris has outstanding credentials, with extensive experience in strategic business development which we feel will add great value to Austal.” Mr Rothwell said.

Mr Indermaur holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and a Graduate Diploma of Engineering (Chemical) from the West Australian Institute of Technology (now Curtin University). He also holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University.

Mr Indermaur is also the Chairman of Medibio Ltd and Poseidon Nickel Ltd, and a Director of Austin Engineering Ltd and of Centrex Metals Ltd.
