COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENT 28 JUNE 2012

RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR

Austal Limited advises that Non-Executive Director Ian Campbell will resign from the Board effective 30 June 2012. Mr Campbell is resigning in order to devote more time to other commercial opportunities.

Austal’s Chairman, John Rothwell, said Mr Campbell had provided a valuable contribution to the company since joining the Austal Board in June 2007 after a distinguished 17 year career in the Australian Parliament.

“Ian’s Cabinet and government experience enabled him to provide advice on national and global interactions in the political space. This was very valuable especially as defence contracting became an increasingly important part of our business activity and growth strategy,” Mr Rothwell said.

Having appointed Mr David Singleton to the Board late last year, Austal does not intend to immediately seek a replacement for Mr Campbell.
