AUSTAL ANNOUNCES ORGANISATIONAL CHANGES

Austal announces the consolidation of its Global Sales Organisation and the Australian Operations. The reorganisation is designed to improve coordination of commercial sales and Australian production facility utilisation. Heading this newly combined unit will be Andrew Bellamy, assuming the role of Director, Sales and Australian Operations. Mr. Bellamy formerly held the position of Director, Global Sales and Marketing.

Bob Browning, CEO-Austal Ltd., said, “Combining the global sales activities with the activities associated with design, procurement, production and service as it relates to our Australian facilities will serve to create a more seamless value chain.”

As a result of this reorganisation, Mr. Peter Hogan, Chief Operating Officer will leave Austal’s employment. Browning noted, “It is with regret that Mr. Hogan is leaving the Company. In a relatively short period of time, he brought a level of disciplined analysis to our organisation, which is always useful to industries dealing with highly complex production processes. We wish Peter the best of luck in his future endeavours.”

This reorganisation creates a level of symmetry between the US and Australian operations, in which Mr. Bellamy will be responsible for all aspects of sales and operations associated with the Australian facilities and his counterpart, Mr. Joe Rella, who already has similar responsibilities for the US operations.
